Here is the logo design for my own personal brand. I originally had some very different ideas in terms of design, but I decided to settle on this personal design as it better represents myself as an animator, in my opinion. The faded images of the skeleton were meant to evoke the idea of a walk cycle, which of course would be a familiar process to any animator. The skeleton itself was something of a holdover from some of my previous designs, although it did give me ideas for a name for my own personal brand, so to speak.

Here's a scene of my animated film. It's not finished by any stretch of the imagination, but I felt I should share it to show how I've been tackling the animation so far. I'm not used to animating with photoshop, but so far my process has been to draw some rough frames of animation for all of my key poses. Once these have been done, I then started drawing over them on separate layers and adding extra frames of animation to make it flow better, as well as adding detail. This has given me some rough animation to work with, which I will be cleaning up later in production before I start colouring.

I intend on doing most of the animation for my project in a similar manner, using rough key frames as a base and then drawing over it.

Here's a quick line test of sorts for my end-of-year film. Still needs a lot of polish, but it's getting there.

Coming up to production now, I have decided to start working on some concept images for what the animated short film will look like in colour. For the backgrounds I decided to experiment by not using any outlines - all of the background is composed of blocks of solid colour. I like how it looks so far, though I have been debating whether or not I will be using it for the entirety of the project or if I will be restraining myself to using it exclusively for the dream sequence in the beginning.

Here is some of the main production work my team and I did for the Professional Practice Project! For our animation for Pieta House, we cut out the images we'd made and pasted them down on cardboard before shooting them under a camera. Took a while to cut out and paste all of our images, but once all that was done shooting was a bit of a breeze.

Here's a couple quick drawings I thought I'd share. For our short animation for Pieta House, we decided to draw all the frames and images we'd be using and then print them, cut them out and paste them on cardboard. Our director Cormac needed some help getting them done though, so he asked me to draw a couple of the images myself. Here's the result of that work, though some of it will probably be changed in the final piece.
